This winter even drug dealers are getting into the holiday spirit. No, they’re not selling dime bags at the mall or offering free gift-wrapping on quarter pounds, but at least one pot pusher is giving back to the community in his own special way with cold, hard product.
On Tuesday morning a crew collecting trash along in Interstate 4 in Tampa, Fla. found a pair of big plastic trash bags on the side of the road. But instead of Big Mac wrappers or dirty diapers these bags were filled with freshly harvested marijuana. Yup, free pot there for the taking. Or turning in.
The crew passed the bags and the total 60 pounds worth of crop over the police, who guessed that it fell off or was thrown from a moving vehicle. Really? We thought the weed fairy had left an early Christmas present.
Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Larry Coggins estimated that the drugs would be worth about $54,000 on the street, and the Florida Highway Patrol says that anyone missing two large bags of pot can call their Tampa area office. I’m sure the phone is ringing off the hook.
