Naples Blogs

With the overabundance of concerns about what to do and how to do Valentines Day, i’m going to dedicate my first blog entry to the ways of love. Girls, most likely you already know what I’m talking about. So, guys this one’s for you. Listen up!

Whether or not your girl says so, she wants you to do something sweet. Don’t believe it when she says, “I don’t want anything for Valentine’s Day.” For you hopeless romantics, this love stuff comes natural. For you other guys that may need an obvious hint or two, I’m here to help. Since we are about a week away from the big day, it is time to start planning. It may take some strategic planning, and even a little money, to make her swoon.

First, decide where you are in your relationship. Are you guys getting serious? Consider jewelry, like necklaces or bracelets. The most important thing to pay attention to is whether she wears white gold or yellow gold. If you get this wrong, the gift may go unworn. Also remember that less is more. Don’t pick something obnoxiously huge; go for simple. If she’s not into jewelry, you can never go wrong with Victoria’s Secret!

If you want to do something different this year, try one (or more) of the following:

1) Buy her a stuffed animal and spray it with your cologne.

2) If you know her class or work schedule, bring a dozen roses to her.

3) Write on her car with window chalk. You can do something like “BV +JB” inside a heart.

4) Leave her twelve separate roses around her apartment or places you know she will go throughout the day, each with a different thing you like about her.

5) Send flowers to her work.

6) Surprise her at work and take her to lunch.

7) Get her a card and write something in it! At least four sentences about what she means to you.

8) Leave her a note on her car.

9) Surprise her with a candlelight dinner at home with your own cooking or her favorite take out and serve it for the two of you.

10) Rent her favorite movie and watch it with her.

11) Ask her roommate to let you in her room so you can decorate it with Valentines Day stuff, candlelight, and flowers and wait for her to find you.

12) Bring cookies in to her work for her co-workers, and a dozen roses for her.

13) Give her a “Princess for a Day” pass, and do everything she wants. Even if that means going shopping and seeing 27 Dresses in the theatres with her mom.

Girls, its always nice to do something for your man on Valentine’s Day. Show him that you appreciate all the hard work he put into impressing you so you have a story to tell all your friends. Remember the basic things that men love are: food, beer, and sex. So here are some examples:

1) Buy him all his favorite candy.

2) Buy him a 12 pack of his favorite beer.

3) Dress in something sexy (or just go naked) with some high heels and cook him dinner.

4) Be adventurous-maybe a new sex position that he has always wanted to try is in order.

5) Buy some hot lingerie from Fredericks of Hollywood or Victoria’s Secret and model it for him.

And to all of you who don’t have to deal with the stress of Valentine’s Day, sit back, relax, and do whatever you want! Being single is not that bad after all.
