Description: Walk to the lagoon at Tigertail Beach which is listed as site # 73 on the Florida birding trail.

Discover plants, birds, gastropods, bivalves, etc., along the way. Park in lot ($8) if you don't have a beach sticker. Walk to area with photos just after the playground. Wear shoes you don't mind getting wet and bring binoculars.

Description: The NCH Wellness Centers are the first and only provider of Nordic Pole Walking classes in Southwest Florida right now. Instructors were trained and certified by German experts by Nordic Pole Walking USA.

Nordic pole classes are offered through NCH's Wellness Centers Wednesdays at 6:30 a.m. at Lowdermilk Park, and Tuesdays and Saturdays at 9:30 a.m. and Thursdays at 5:45 p.m. at Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park in Lot 4.

Description: Join a park naturalist for a one-mile walk through the estuary and along the beach. Learn about plants, birds, seashells and marine life.

Fees for program participants are included in park admission: $5 for vehicles with two to eight passengers, $3 for vehicles with one individual, and $1 per pedestrian or cyclist. All programs take place at Lovers Key State Park at 8700 Estero Blvd., Fort Myers Beach, Florida. To register, call 463-4588.
