FORT MYERS — Florida Repertory Theatre in Fort Myers is casting for "Broadway or Bust," a revue-style show featuring the best performers drawn from among local youth and young adults. The show will feature a wide range of scenes, monologues and musical numbers.
Auditions for the show are Monday, August 24 and Tuesday, August 25 from 5-9 p.m. with callbacks set for Wednesday, August 26. Performances will be September 10-13. All auditions and callbacks will be held at the Florida Repertory Theatre in Fort Myers.
Positions in "Broadway or Bust" are open to anyone ages 8-22. Previous experience in the performing arts is recommended but not required. Potential cast members should prepare 16 bars of a song to be sung a cappella or with a CD accompaniment and an optional monologue. Script excerpts will also be available for actors without a prepared monologue; dancing may be required at callbacks.
