Are you in the mood for the cuisine of the Far East? Then sample the culinary skills of David Wong and his wife and chef, Lisa, at David Wong’s Pan Asian & Sushi restaurant in Bonita Springs.

The family-friendly restaurant is modern, with earth-toned décor, and both traditional and contemporary, with a menu of creative dishes from “Thailand, China, Vietnam, Japan, Malaysia and beyond.”

Born in Bangkok, Thailand, Wong operated restaurants from Los Angeles to Miami, which served French and Thai cuisine. Now, in Bonita Springs, he wants to show off his authentic Asian culinary skills, finely honed over 30 years spent in the restaurant business.

“All of our dishes are made with the freshest vegetables, meats and seafood, and flavored with herbs grown on our premises. My wife uses an original recipe for her curry and makes everything from scratch. Our food is outstanding and unlike anything else around. We want to make everyone happy.”

Popular dishes include the roast crispy duck, served with three sauces — mango, hoisin and curry — and moo chu wraps. The crispy whole red snapper, Chilean bass and tuna (two ways), also hold court as top choices.

Dinner specials running right now are at 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday to Wednesday, at $30 per couple and include a bottle of wine, soup or salad, California roll (four pieces), appetizer of the day, jasmine rice, and choice of nine entrees. At 5-7 p.m. on Thursdays, enjoy half-priced sushi. And every day, from 4-7 p.m. get happy with all drinks priced at two for one.

There is free delivery on orders of $25 or more and catering is available upon request.
