— On Saturday, over 200 met in Cambier Park at 9 a.m. for Salutation Nation, part of an international yoga celebration, a chance, said organizers, to "move, breathe, connect, and get your downdog on."

The yogis were led by Leigh Dally, director of Bala Vinyasa Yoga, joined by devotees from other studios throughout the area.

Sitting before the yoga devotees on the stage of the bandshell, and then moving among them as other instructors demonstrated the disciplines from the stage, Dally called on participants to “feel a connection with something so much bigger than yourself,” and then had them “come back to your relationship with yourself.

“We are so blessed,” Dally told the group. “Let that energy course through you,” and led several chants of “om.” The event was sponsored by lululemon athletica, a yoga equipment and athletic clothing chain with a store in Waterside Shops.
