— It was a night of fun when the Fort Myers Miracle minor league baseball team held its second annual Beer, Baseball and Boom night Saturday, Aug. 11, at Hammond Stadium.

The night featured a Craft Beer festival, featuring 30 beer brews in a variety of tastes and selection for patrons. It marked the second year the event has been held after a resounding response from earlier visitors to the event.

With the purchase of a game ticket and event bracelet, those in attendance were allowed unlimited samples of the many beers made available for the event through sponsor Killebrew Root Beer. The tastings were from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., followed by baseball.

The Miracle played the second game of a three game series against the St. Lucie Mets. The Miracle lost the second game of the series by a final score of 3-0, the final game will be held on Sunday at 1:05 p.m.

The night was then completed with lights out and a fireworks finale.
