All in the details: Party time

Tips for planning any event

I recently helped plan my dad’s 100th birthday party in Chicago. The following steps could be used for any party or celebration. If you will be planning the event consider the following:

1) Budget: Be honest here.

2) Dates: Always have several dates in mind, if you will be renting a space. You can of course stay firm with a date, if you will be hosting the party at your office or home.

3) Invitations: Always take the invitation to the post office to be sure of the postage. If you have a response card, be sure it is included. I decided to have fun with my dad’s invitation. With the help of a professional photographer, Pecci Photography, I was able to accomplish the professional look I wanted. The “National Treasure” was an idea I came up with for an 80th birthday party invitation.

4) Most of all, make sure that you have enough people to help you, so that you can enjoy the party.
