MARCO ISLAND — The art fair was in the parking lot at the Art Center, said Marco Island Center for the Arts president Ken Stroud, but this was not the massive show they have done in years past.
There were problems with closing off Winterberry Drive, said Stroud, so the center is concentrating on the upcoming Native American art exhibit.
For the show Arts & Crafts Show on Saturday and Sunday, painters, crafters, photographers and jewelers set up their booths, and the public came and browsed. Sylvia Zager went home with more beads than she bargained for, captivated by the artistry of Virginia Okingo, and the Wisconsin ice cream cooled people off on a warm “winter” day.
The Art Center is located at 1010 Winterberry Drive. For more information on the Marco Island Center for the Arts, call 239-394-4221, or go online to www.marcoislandart.org.
