NAPLES — Lorenzo Walker Institute of Technology outdid themselves as their inaugural Fly-in / Cruise-in was a tremendous hit.
Naples Municipal Airport was the place to be Saturday March 10, 2012. If you love cars, trucks, motorcycles, airplanes and All You Can Eat pancakes, you were in heaven.
Muscle cars, sports cars, classics, DC-3’s, Cessna’s, small private jets, helicopters, you name it, and it was on display.
Hundreds of spectators came to help support Lorenzo Walker Institute as all proceeds go to the Lorenzo Walker Technical High School and Institute of Technology.
Collier County Superintendent of Schools, Kamela Patton, PH. D. was present, dressed in her chefs hat and flipping flapjacks with the best of them.
With assistance from faculty and students, Lorenzo Walker principal, Jack Gardner pulled off a fantastic event in a short amount of time.
"Our dream is for the Fly-In Cruise In to become one of Naples premiere events," Gardner said.
