FORT MYERS — The third annual Surf and Song Festival has returned Centennial Park downtown Fort Myers 3 to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, March 30-31. This event raises money for an autism center to be built in Southwest Florida. More than 90 local and national bands will be performing throughout the event to raise proceeds that will all go toward the new center.
Families in Lee County who have children diagnosed with some form of autism often have to travel to the nearest centers in Tampa or Miami. The event’s goal is to provide treatment for these families closer to home.
