If there's anything more lovable than a dog, it's a dog in costume.
The Humane Society Naples held its preseason fundraiser Oct. 20 at Germain BMW of Naples, and the event, "Strut Your Mutt," was a costume party and parade, ramping up the lovability quotient considerably.
Admission was free, but entry to the costume contest was $10, with proceeds going to both the society and the Shelter for Abused Women and Children. The event netted $2,096.
Prizes were offered for the scariest, cutest, celebrity look-alike, group of pets and original.
Vendors of pet products were at the event and box lunches were offered.
