Daily News file Bruce Kretschmer of Kretch’s Restaurant flips some sizzling blackened tuna at last year’s Taste of Marco. The long-running annual event is Sunday.

The annual Taste of Marco supports the Greater Marco Family YMCA with a daylong celebration of food and fun Sunday.

In its 23rd year, Taste of Marco offers the public a chance to sample the gourmet and the down-home good, all prepared by chefs from Marco Island restaurants to support a worthy cause.

While you’re walking from booth to booth to nosh, you can take time out to watch the waiter/waitress obstacle-course race at 1:30 p.m. (waiters and waitresses can register until noon for the 2 p.m. race). There’s a kiddie area with sand art, bounce house and climbing walls. Beach Dogs will be grilling kid-friendly hot dogs for them.

The Greg Miller Band offers some music to dine by.

Admission is $5 for adults, and tickets, with samples costing one or more tickets, are $1 each. Children 12 and younger are free with paid adult admission.
