PACE Center for Girls receives $10K grant

Funding from The Costley Family Foundation will support the Spirited Girls program for current girls and girls in their three year transition period from PACE.

Approximately 60 girls will participate in Spirited Girls during the year of funding from Costley Family Foundation and currently there are 143 girls in transition. Spirited Girls, as all of the programs at PACE, utilizes a strength-based behavior improvement plan with each girl that creates an environment of striving for excellence, optimum learning, and is motivating, engaging and fulfilling for the girls. Service delivery includes work and activities focused on Career Development, Drop out Prevention, Pregnancy Prevention and Substance Abuse Prevention.

PACE Center for Girls, Inc. is a non-residential juvenile delinquency prevention and intervention program targeting the unique needs of girls, ages 12 to 18, facing challenges such as physical and sexual abuse, domestic violence, substance abuse, foster care, neglect, death of a parent, family history of incarceration and declining grades.
