Armando Rivera talks about 'in your face' play that explores damaged relationship

Armando Rivera fell in love with "Gruesome Playground Injuries" almost as soon as he read it. "The title attracted me," Rivera said. "The play took me on a journey; I couldn't get my head out of it." The startlingly raw Rajiv Joseph play, which will close Ghostbird Theatre Company's sophomore season next May, examines a couple whose relationship is founded on pain.
