SWFL American Heart Association announce directors

The American Heart Association, Southwest Florida Market, announce two new appointments. Chantil Shamus has been named to the role of Go Red For Women Director and Molly Spain has been chosen as Heart Walk Director, Lee County.

Prior to joining the American Heart Association, Shamus served as a Senior Representative at Merck & Co., Inc., for over eight years. In her new position as Go Red For Women Director, she will be responsible for all events associated with the Southwest Florida Go Red For Women campaign, including the Breakfast in Red, Fifth Annual Go Red For Women Luncheon, the Red Dress Dash and the Circle of Red/Red Tie Society. Married with two children, she is currently training for her first triathlon.

Spain joined the American Heart Association in 2011, first serving as the Regional Director in Volusia and Flagler counties and later as the Heart Walk Director for the Tampa Bay Heart Walk. During her tenure, the Tampa Bay Heart Walk posted a record fundraising year, generating $2 million through the event. Information: (239) 495-4900.
