Susan G. Komen names director of volunteers

Charlie Myrick, executive director of Susan G. Komen Southwest Florida, recently named Sarah Paschke office and volunteer director.

Paschke will be responsible for volunteer outreach and recruitment for the various events and program services that Susan G. Komen provides throughout the year in Lee and Collier County.

Before joining Susan G. Komen, she worked as a graduate assistant in Central Michigan University’s physician assistant program and also as a residency coordinator for Michigan State University’s department of surgery.

Seventy five percent of fundraising proceeds stay in the local community to provide education, screening, treatment and support, and 25 percent supports national breast cancer research programs. Since 2002, the Susan G. Komen Southwest Florida affiliate has given more than $5 million in grants to local agencies in the five-county area. Information: (239) 498-0016 or
