AT&T donates $4K to United Way

For more than 60 years, AT&T and the AT&T Foundation have been strong supporters of the United Way both at the national and local levels.

AT&T continues this legacy of support through a contribution of $4,900 to United Way of Lee, Hendry, and Glades. In 2013 alone, AT&T gave $5.49 million to 562 United Ways across the country.

United Way of Lee, Hendry & Glades will use the contribution to support programs that create long lasting change in the local community. The United Way is dedicated to improving lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities to advance the common good, as is evident from the work the United Way is doing in Southwest Florida. For example, in the past year, the organization funded summer mobile feeding at nine sites in Lee, Hendry, and Glades Counties; the We Care program that helps uninsured patients obtain vitally needed specialty medical care free of charge; The Bridges Program to help homeless school age children get their lives back on track, and many more.

The United Way of Lee, Hendry, and Glades has been “the way the community cares” since it was established in 1957. Information: (239) 433-2000 or
