Voices For Kids welcome new board members

Darlene Ann Grossman, Executive Director of Voices For Kids of Southwest Florida, Inc. (VFK), a nonprofit entity serving abused, neglected and abandoned children in Southwest Florida, is proud to announce the addition of two new members elected to its board of directors.

Newly elected members joining the board of directors include Catherine Bixenman, Branch Mgr., SunTrust Banks, Inc. and Debra Newell, VP/Branch Mgr., IberiaBank.

Voices for Kids of Southwest Florida is a nonprofit agency supporting Florida’s 20th Judicial Circuit Guardian ad Litem Program-Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry and Glades counties. The Guardian ad Litem Program recruits trains and retains volunteers who advocate for abused, neglected and abandoned children and become their “voice” in court, school, the child welfare system and the community. VFK’s mission is to ensure every abused, neglected, and abandoned child in Southwest Florida has a Guardian ad Litem volunteer (GAL) and every GAL has access to financial assistance and resources available for meeting the child’s health, educational and social needs, not provided by any other source.
