Sixth annual Night for Life raises $15k for local transplants

Organ Transplants Recipients of Southwest Florida’s sixth annual Night for Life featured an evening of fundraising and entertainment at the Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre on April 1.

This event is used to raise awareness of the need for organ and tissue donation and to raise funds for local transplant recipients and patients on the waiting list.

The 300 guests enjoyed entertainment by Broadway Palm’s the Sound of Music performers, The Calendar Girls and Matt Hembling. John Gordon, the long-time voice of the Minnesota Twins, served as the emcee.

The event raised more than $15,000 for local transplant patients. Organ Transplant Recipients of SWFL, Inc, is an all-volunteer, nonprofit support group that meets the first Thursday of every month at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Fort Myers. Information: www.organsupport.org.
