A silent auction with an array of items from kids' school supplies to fine glassware and champagne rounded out the offerings. Mercato First Thursday supported by the sounds of the blue grass infused Whole Tones looked like a success. Coupled with the popular music were busy restaurants with outdoor dining, boutique stores open late and a display of the latest new cars. Things kicked off at 7 and wrapped up just after nine. Hundreds of owners and dogs were in attendance during the Lee County PugFest VII Pug Olympics held at Bell Tower Shops on Sunday afternoon. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Lee County Library System's annual Southwest Florida Reading Festival.
