Daniela's Restaurant

We visited Daniela's for the first time last night - it will be our LAST time also. It is a rip-off. We arrived with our $29.95 voucher clutched in our hands for Dinner for 2 plus a bottle of wine, which we presented upon arrival. Even discussed choice of bottle of wine with owner and whether salad was included or not. We were given menus and off we went with our choices. Good food, however, upon receipt of bill we discovered to our horror the amount was $56.18 instead of $29.99. We queried the bill only to be told by the owner that we had chosen the "Buy One Get Half Off" Special, which did not include any wine at all. Absolutely NOT true. We are Brits, but live in Naples year-round, consequently we know the Restaurants and how the Summer Specials work. We do not like getting ripped off - perhaps they thought we were a couple of Brits on vacation and wouldn't know the difference. Wrong and Very Foolish. The owner would not compromise so we paid the $56.18 and left, never to return. We will never recommend Daniela's to any of our friends or family, I would go so far as to say if anyone asks my opinion, I will say "Don't go to Daniela's". Moral of the story, always check and specify exactly what you are getting with the Restaurant Voucher.
