Part of the family of area restaurants that includes Chops, Yabba Island Grill and Pazzo!, Blue Water Bistro is the latest incarnation located at Coconut Point. Its aqua interior and decor are reminiscent of a waterfront cafe, while outside, the restaurant offers ample seating tucked under sweeping white curtains.

As its name suggests, Blue Water Bistro specializes in seafood, and lots of it. Starters range from specialty appetizers such as king crab and lobster potstickers and calamari to a broad selection of cold seafood cocktails. Sushi and a choice of 12 types of grilled fish from around the world round out the entree choices, while non-seafood lovers will find plenty to choose from offerings such as ribs, chicken and burgers.

My wife and I were out shopping at cocnut point mall and were getting a little hungry. We both decided we wanted seafood. We looked at the map and saw Blue Wter Bistro, so we headed that way. When we got there the place was packed. We asked for a table for 2 and was told that there would be a wait so they directed us over to the bar. We looked over the drink list a saw mojitos, our favorite. They had about 5 or 6 six differnt flavors and the bartender said they can pretty much make any flavor. We were pumped. We each had 2 a piece and covered 4 different flavors. Then it was dinner time. Talk about a place that has everything. We looked at the menu to find a bunch of different appetizers, sushi, raw bar items, fresh fish, house specials, and even burgers. I guess we were hungrier than we thought. Started with calamari, then sushi, we split a salad, and had 2 different fish dishes. I had tuna off the fresh catch list, which was cooked perfect. My wife had a dish call "Mahi Mac", which was really creative and nonetheless outstanding. I couldnt help myself to keep stealing bites off her plate. Overall it was a great experience and we recommended it to a bunch of our friends. We will be back. Keep doing what you are doing Blue Water.
