Pollo Tropical (which literally means Tropical Chicken in Spanish) is a Miami-based fast food restaurant chain specializing in Caribbean food.
The chain has 80 company owned restaurants in Florida and more than 20 franchised units throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. Pollo Tropical is planning an aggressive expansion opening new locations in New York, New Jersey and the west coast of Florida.
It is best known for its marinated and grilled chicken served with black beans and rice. Some common side dishes are french fries, salads, plantain, and fried yuca.
