KEVIN HELLYER

Biography

Kevin Hellyer is Managing Editor of Presentation at the Daily News. The job is a daily juggle of stories, graphics and photos that come together (hopefully) to produce an interesting, informative and attractive experience for readers of the print edition. He’s beholden to a team of 16 talented page designers and editors who work their magic every day.

Kevin’s been enjoying life in Naples since 2004, when he joined the staff as Features Editor (on the heels of Hurricane Charley). His resume begins at age 16 as a high school sportswriter at the Des Moines Register & Tribune, and includes a sometimes illogical progression of jobs – a background in commercial printing mixed with editing and page design positions at publications such as the Milwaukee Sentinel, the Chicago Sun-Times and the innovative Albuquerque Tribune.
