Biography
Born in Goodland and raised in Naples, it only made sense to team up with the Naples Daily News group as a freelance writer after working three years for the company's Bonita Springs' paper, The Banner. I received my start in newspapers writing and taking pictures for a small paper in Everglades City. Not only was I reporter, I also delivered papers and collected money from the route. A graduate of Gulf Coast High School the first year it opened, I then moved on to another swamp, graduating from the University of Florida in Gainesville in 2003. After a stint editing a scuba magazine in High Springs, Fla., I worked as a staff writer for The Sanford Herald outside of Orlando. I then moved back to my hometown in Naples, and worked for three years as a staff writer for The Banner, before becoming a correspondent for the Naples Daily News group. When I'm not working, I enjoy the beach: basking in the sun, collecting shells, fishing and just exploring the quiet beauty and history of Naples.-
